Well what a year it has been and now Christmas just around the corner most people have their Tree up, decorated with tinsel and lights, Christmas cards will be everywhere other decorations will be in most rooms in our homes with scented candles making it as festive as can be.

Please please take extra care and try to make it a Christmas to remember for the right reasons.

Make sure that the plug sockets are not overloaded It is safer to use a multiway extension lead but remember never to plug an extension lead into another extension lead and make sure that you turn off and unplug everything before leaving the house or retiring for the evening
LED Lights are getting better and better,
If you have some old dodgy lights bin them and treat yourself

Candles are fantastic at setting the mood and atmosphere but make sure that they are kept well away from any decorations and cards and make 100% sure that they are fully extinguished before leaving the house or going to bed .

Give all the smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors in the house a test to make sure they function correctly and remember never remove the battery if it’s bleeping replace it
If it has exceeded its life expectancy of 10 years then replace it.
