A nice lime repointing job that we’ve recently completed. Ground out all the old cement reporting that had starting falling away. Some that was was starting to deteriorate the old bricks. Finished in heritage flush and churn brushed. In my opinion how it should be.

Operation catch up.! This is something that I haven’t come across before. A 1950’s concrete house that had some structural cracks. We resined in some bar on the outside a couple of months ago, but this time we repeated the repair on the inside. We found patches of loose aggregate where the cracks were so removed the plaster back to the concrete, patch in the loose sections, resin bar, plaster backing coat with full reinforcing mesh, then plaster finish. Hopefully that will stop the cracks from reappearing.

I’ve been really slack posting stuff recently so may have a bit of a catch up. We got these two all base coated up this week ready for some action . The first one is a really nice project for RPL . The second started out with some localised crack repairs before we overspray in cork. That ended up being the complete removal of the majority of the old render as it nearly all loose. Walls need to let moisture out, not just keep rain out.

Older solid walls in particular rely on being able to breathe: letting built-up moisture move out through the wall rather than getting trapped inside it. Coating that kind of wall with the wrong product and the moisture has nowhere to go, which is when problems like damp patches and cold spots can start.

Well it’s been a week of spraying stuff. Getting some Baumit thin coat on at . First time spraying this product.
Also finished patching in of the existing render and over spraying in to another property. Both jobs for . CorkSolUK

Started the rendering on the new Freshwater independent lifeboat station building this week for .

Now I haven’t done one of these for a while!! A nice subtle white to some bathroom walls. Just need to seal it now. Took me a bit to get the hang of it again 😂.
