Haven't posted in a while, I've been manic busy. So I managed to get a couple of snaps of the most recent job.

Potterton Suprima in very poor condition taken out, new Glowworm Energy 18r put back in its place.

There was originally a leak on the return pipework above the boiler how3this was boxed in. Typically the flow & returns were the wrong round for the new install 🤦🏻

New power filter installed, new CH pump, air separator taken out in airing cupboard.

Plume kit installed on horizontal flue.

System cleansed which turned out be extremely clean 👍

Refilled with inhibitor

Registered with Gas Safe & Glowworm.

10 year warranty

Saved this from the scrap pile today. Customer sourced a reconditioned heat exchanger as the original had split.

New Heat exchanger came fully cleaned, new gaskets & electrodes.

Back up & running 👍

Little boiler swap carried out a few months back, Glowworm Flexicom had been serviced every year by a national firm, clearly not properly 🤦🏻

Was incredibly poor condition & beyond economical repair.

Swapped it out for a new Glowworm Energy, wired upto the existing controls, fitted new thermostatic radiator valves, glowworms own system filter.

System flushed & cleaned.

Haven't posted in a while, my own fault for not taking pictures 🤦🏻

Full strip down of a worcester compact, alot of boiler manufactures recommend the mani burner/door gasket should be replaced every 5 years.

This one was overdue by 4 years, another test is the fan pressure test which was inside the manufacturer's instructions however when I stripped it the mani burner was pretty mucky, not the easiest one to clean.

Cleaned & flushed through, main burner gasket, & electrodes replaced.

So I took this Unvented cylinder & system boiler (forgot to take photos of the boiler 🤦🏻). Slight overkill for a 2 bed terraced house, granted it did have an en-suite with a shower & a main bathroom which only had a bath, basin & toilet in.

The Unvented cylinder was in very poor condition, had the wrong inlet control valve & the expansion vessel was piped up incorrectly & was not secured to the wall.

So new Glowworm Energy, new gas supply, new condense waste pipe, adjusted all pipework to suit the new installation. Controlled by Glowworm's climapro.

Install complete, cleaned & flushed the heating system. This is an important part of any boiler installation, keeps the boiler running efficiently, effectively & alot of manufacturers will carry out a water quality test if there's a warranty call.

Annoyingly I didn't get a picture of the install completely finished as at this point I hadn't made good around the gas pipe & condense as they come through into the airing cupboard.

Took this old girl out this week, still in good condition but slightly unreliable & not efficient.

Replaced radiator valves with thermostats, new zone valves, pump, room stat & cylinder stat. New Glowworm Energy heat only with vertical flue, pipework & flue clipped nicely.

Cleansed system, all radiators on drops so also cold main flushed to remove all cleaner, refilled & inhibitor added to protect the system for many years to come.

Roughly 3 years ago I replaced the thermocouple on this old girl, since then I've been servicing it. Granted it's not efficient but she's reliable and been going strong before I was even thought about

Complete new heating system in a flat in Charminster.
