Commercial projects…

We here at CPMS Plumbing Ltd have knowledge of domestic and commercial projects.

We have been completing commercial work since we were apprentices 18years ago.

One of the recent large projects we have been carrying out has 40 toilets, 2 Doc M toilets, 1 wet room, 2 shower rooms, kitchens, bars, ice machines, water heaters and a hot water system with a return running to multiple large basins.

What’s been happening…

So a couple months ago we employed Liam full time. He is our in house domestic and commercial gas engineer.

He has hit the ground running, everything from servicing boilers, landlord certificates, back boiler servicing and unfortunately condemning. Although we sometimes have to turn an appliance off we are here to make sure you are safe!

We were called out to a heating system that wouldn't stop heating the house. Not what you want with today's gas prices.

We attended the same day and found the issue, a 2-port valve constantly calling for heat. We swapped the full valve and had everything back under control there and then.

Nothing worse than a heating system with a mind of its own.

Two Ideal Logic+ system boilers, side by side, on a small commercial job for us to end last week on.
Nothing flashy, just doing it properly.

Full strip-down service with a service kit for both. These need all the help they can get as they are running 24/7 😅

A twin setup like this means more capacity for the building as well as a backup should the worst happen to one of them.
Of course we had to drop our CPMS service reminder stickers on the cases.

Apparently something is going on with the sun tonight?

A decent partial eclipse over the UK this evening, around 90% of it covered for us in God's Own County.

Something a little different this week.
First fixing toilets and basins in a new music venue in Leeds, which used to be an old train carriage workshop.

We're doing all the hot, cold and waste pipework throughout the whole building, and these are just part of the customer's toilets. In total, there will be 53 toilets and 6 large stainless steel trough basins going in once everything's in and finished.

The first fix is always the bit no one sees, running pipes throughout, but it's the stage that makes or breaks everything that comes after it.

It's going to be a busy second fix!

Behind the scenes…

The issue we have a CPMS Plumbing Ltd is when people come to us with a problem, we have to solve it. This is one of those cases..

Sometimes you have to go further afield to get the materials you need, that can sometimes be from across the pond, America to be precise, by the way of China and then onto Germany then over to England and finally landing with CPMS Plumbing Ltd, in Cas Vegas.

These 2 x 7 filter housings, with filters to suit have landed for a project in a hotel in the centre of Leeds. Cheeky one this. Can’t wait to get involved, now these have landed.

We had a toilet that wouldn't flush properly this week. Turned out the siphon diaphragm had split.
As that's the part that actually does the flushing, it's no surprise it had stopped flushing.
Turned the water off, stripped it out, swapped the old syphon for a new one, and fitted a new close coupling kit while everything was apart.
Popped it all back together, tested it, flushing perfectly again.

If your toilet's not quite flushing right, it's more than likely this.
It is worth getting it looked at before it turns from a hard flusher to a non-flusher.
