Lintol replacement & helical stitch bar installation was the order of the day on this one

After knocking off the coating off the existing lintol, I was very surprised to find that the reason for the lintol failure was that some absolute lunatic had fitted it on its back (image 2 & 3)

Obviously they aren't designed to be set in that manner which caused it to sag, causing structural cracking to the brickwork both internally and externally

And that's why you get someone who knows what they're doing, like me 👍

New catnic fitted, mortar raked out and helical stitch bars resined in place, lots of slate packing and pointing, and now it's as good as new and done correctly (image 1)

Another job we squeezed in this week during the downtime on our main job

We had to reroute this fence to incorporate a new climbing frame in a school

We reused all of the posts and panels we took out, plus a few that they had lying around. Although I love the zero waste ethos, making battered old fencing look new and neat isn't ideal 😑😑😑

However, we nailed it and it looks great 👌

Galvanised steel handle rail and cocnrete flags with good non-slip properties, so that they won't have amy problems with rusting and near zero maintenance

A bit of an usual structural job this one

We had to carefully break out some of the existing beams from this commercial floor, making sure to not so much as chip the beams

Then they were loaded on to a wagon and sent to London to be stress tested

We then had to reinstate the floor using a structural engineers design. After the blocks and beams were fitted, we laid a concrete slab on top of them and then a screed so it was ready for new flooring

All waste taken away, now currently getting set up for our next job, approx 1000m of fencing 😆😆😆

Got a few quotes to do this afternoon, then it's off to B&Q with my 2 eldest sons to get some bits for working on my own house tonight, it never ends

Little Saturday morning insurance job in Wallasey Village

Garden wall pillar was knocked over by a delivery driver

As you can see from the last pic, none of the brick were suitable for reuse due to spalling so it was new brick but reused the existing coping and pier cap

Left nice and clean, tools back on the van ready for tomorrow

Not all jobs are big jobs, and we don't mind, fitting in the smaller jobs actually helps with cash flow when running a small business

This job was to fill in a hole where some equipment had been removed, 3 tonnes of top soil to reinstate the natural shape of the mount

Gardeners were following on to rake it out and seed it
