It’s been a practical week 🙌🏼

I kept this week free to get on top of a few things 🙌🏼

✔️ Having a sort out and tidy up of tools etc
✔️ A visit to PPG in Birstall
✔️ Getting outstanding quotes written up
✔️ Carrying out the remaining quotes

I always appreciate a slow morning through the week, just going over a few things with a coffee before heading off to two quotes this morning.

A trip to West Yorkshire today for something a little different📍 🚐

I was very kindly invited to spend the day at PPG for a site visit and factory tour! 🙌🏼

I’ll be honest.. I’m struggling with social media at the moment.
Completely losing interest.

It’s seemed to all have converged into the same experience.

Rage bait, overused AI generated content, recycled opinions, people performing versions of themselves or having sly digs at each other because they feel threatened by someone at the opposite end of the country.

Algorithms seem to flatten everything into a similar rhythm and it’s exhausting. I scroll for a bit, try to engage with people’s posts and their work, share with you what I’m working on but it’s becoming a chore with everything inbetween and I feel like throwing me phone away.

Anyone else feeling the same at the minute?

A small landing and staircase finished this week. Also a kitchen ceiling that I forgot to take photos of.

Ceilings finished in white matt

Walls finished in ‘Fresh Artichoke’ tough matt

Woodwork primed and finished in a water based white satin ✨

Whatever those envelopes say remember this, your grades are just one snapshot in time.

So the answer to the samples is.. 🥁

NUMBER 1! .. two coats and dry.

BUT .. ✋🏼

This wasn’t Coat paint, it was colour matched in Johnstones. This is the first EVER time, I’ve had such a huge difference in a match by Johnstones. They’ve always been pretty much identical to any colour and brand I’ve had matched even from a colour card/print.
The reason I had it matched is because I personally don’t rate Coat paint. I’ve used it twice and had issues both times.

But what I will say, is never just trust a digital print anyway.
By that I mean a colour you find online, in a colour chart or a print like these samples that the likes of Coat and other brands supply..they’re never actually true.
Even when using the paint from the brand you’ve chosen from, lighting and shadows etc in your home can also affect the finishing colour.. 👀

Colours can dry slightly darker or lighter, so if you’re quite particular about the colour and the space you plan to use it - buy a sample pot 👍🏼
