Back in Walton-le-Dale today carrying out another bespoke gate project for a local customer 🔨

The old gate posts had seen better days — after carefully digging out the original posts, removing old solid concrete and clearing what was left below ground, I installed new treated larch posts built to last.

I then handcrafted a bespoke timber gate, made to measure and fitted perfectly to the entrance. A complete transformation, built properly from the ground up.

Side garage door replaced today with one of my hand built Redwood Doors with key lock. Very strong and built for longevity.
Also installed a small access door for this local customer. 👍👍

It’s a wrap for this week. 🔨

Finished this secure lean-to storage area in Euxton for a happy customer.

Built to be strong, durable, and practical, using pressure-treated timber throughout for long-lasting protection against the elements.

Well, it’s a wet one! 🌧️

Needless to say, I’ve swapped today’s and tomorrow’s jobs around and headed into the workshop instead. A good chance to get stuck into some customer projects and stay dry.

It got me thinking about the years from 2017–2020 when I didn’t have a workshop and every rainy day made life that bit harder. Makes me realise just how fortunate and grateful I am now.

Very thankful for the workshop, great customers, and being able to keep moving forward whatever the weather throws at us.
