If you fancy going in to opening safes, I have just agreed to teach a training course for the MLA London region running a course teaching how to pick open the Mauer President on the 13/14th November in Waltham Abbey. This is the prefect lock to then follow on for the Cawi, Stuv and Variator. Don't even think about buying charts, I will show you how to make them!. GJ Locks will be supplying all the tools you need. I thought that 80 Manifoils the other week was unbeatable, but what a week you can have in safe cracking! Monday and Tuesday we did 116 Manifoils, a mix of 4 and 8's plus a Kaba, Wednesday morning out to pick open a 9 lever Kroma, before going to my slow cooker course, where I made a syrup sponge and a loaf of bread, Then to college where I am doing an IMI motor mechanic's course, changing a fuel filter then back out cracking, knocking open a Leigh Safe followed by a Chubb wall safe! Safe Cracking, it's not a bad old job.

I originally quoted to open this safe months ago but the owner only recently got back in contact with me to accept the quote. On arrival I saw that someone had tried to open it with an angle grinder. Apart from the fact that they were never going to open it from where they were grinding I found out that the reason that they stopped when they did was because it was at this point that the sparks had set the house on fire! The loft conversion that the safe was in was gutted and all of the possessions were destroyed. Always use a a safe engineer to open a safe Trust me, it will be cheaper in the long run!

Travelled out to Bicester today. Burglars had broken in to an old church and tried to core drill the lock on this old Milners safe. After drilling through the lock, they realised that they were never going to open it and made off. Safe was opened and a new one is being arranged through the insurance.
