Mill Meece Pumping Station is a historic water pumping station located in Staffordshire, England. This week is Water Safety Week - the RLSS UK campaign aims to raise awareness and reduce accidental drownings. With warmer weather approaching, more children and young people spend time around open water, so it’s especially important to remind everyone how quickly situations can change.

Even on hot days, open water can be very cold and unpredictable. During lessons this week, we’ll be helping children learn how to stay safe in and around water.

Take a look at the key safety messages:
◾ Stop and Think - Check for hidden dangers such as deep water, strong currents, or cold temperatures
◾ Stay Together - Never go near water alone, and choose lifeguarded areas where possible
◾ Call 999 in an emergency - Ask for the Coastguard at the coast, or Fire & Rescue if inland
◾ Float - If you fall in, stay calm, float on your back, and control your breathing

RatGate is a UK manufactured product which prevents the migration of rats from the main sewer system into your property.

The stainless steel gate blocks the rat’s path whilst still allowing water and waste to flow freely through the drain.

The device is humane, poison free and environmentally friendly and designed to work with both 4-inch clay and 110mm PVC systems. RateGate are members of the British Pest Control Association (BPCA).
