It’s been a very wet double gate day today!
The first one was for a lovely couple who wanted us to remove a portion of the existing fence and gate, to make way for eventually widening their driveway, then we installed the new gate further back and trimmed it up to look like it’s always been there.
The second one for a lovely lady who wanted to keep her puppy safe on the back garden.. we had to make this one on site and fix to a house that’s been externally insulated, so getting a good fixing was a task but we managed it. 🔨🪚

I’ve enjoyed this one, it’s been a while since I got my hands on something a bit gritty.
This customer wanted to turn this tired ready to drop outbuilding into a usable garden room/home office. So to give it a roomier feel, the old concrete slab roof came off to make way for the new traditional roof, and higher vaulted ceiling.
New doors and a bigger window went in to let more light in, some repointing, I tidied up some old pipework that let to and outdoor tap, and took it back to the wall so it can be boarded over, then battened the walls ready for electrics and plaster boards. A perfect way to modernise an original feature.

Had fun installing this in a million degrees today.. A bespoke hallway storage system with coat hanging space, adjustable solid oak shelves with seating for shoes, and oak tops. Designed with the customers ideas and needs in mind.
All hand made from scratch and sprayed a very light creamy green to match the existing decor.

The base is at 2 levels to minimise roof height on a badly sloped garden.

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and a great start to the new year!! Im still not currently working, but my treatment is going well and not making me too ill so far, so I’m starting to think about my return to work, and possibly taking on a few smaller projects sooner rather than later, so feel free to get in touch if you want any work quoting soon to book in from April/may onwards, or if you want any smaller projects doing before that, and if I’m able to I’ll take them on.

So as of now I’m back on a low residue diet, have to drink horrible drinks, pop pills and shove more stuff in horrible places, but it’s all in prep for my surgery on Wednesday.
(For those who don’t know, I was diagnosed with bowel cancer a good few weeks ago)

I am out of action now until probably new year, unfortunately with the nature of my job, I could do a lot of harm if I rush back, so I’m
Just going to have to write this year off for now.. and if things go well, I might be able to do some steady stuff later in the year.
I’m sorry to everyone I had work booked in for, and sorry to anyone who I didn’t get out to because of all this, it’s been absolute chaos trying to get everything completed in time, but I can finally put my feet up and put my fate in the hands of the experts.
I will be back working at some point ASAP, so don’t write me off, but I understand completely that you may not want to wait.
