Be kind to those working outside, in hospitality or in the emergency services because there are no air cons, fans and dark rooms for them.
Tip higher, offer them cold drinks and ice creams or maybe just ask them how their doing.

A small detour from my normal posts but nevertheless probably more important than ever to say.
These are my values, my alignments and my views. If you do not hold these views or take a darker more sinister view can I with kindness say my account is not for you.
Equally if i see an affiliation with those sinister views I will also un follow.
Hatred is spreading so rapidly but every effort to stop it needs to be made asap.
As small as this might feel if it was done by all the silent majority who will not stand for hate it could be stopped in its tracks.

🌡️ Here we go again… another UK heatwave is on the way!

While we’re reaching for the sun cream, our gardens can quickly become stressed. A few simple tips can make a big difference:

🌱 Water deeply and less often rather than little and often.
🌱 Water early morning or late evening to reduce evaporation.
🌱 Mulch borders to help lock moisture into the soil.
🌱 Hold off on feeding stressed plants until temperatures ease.
🌱 Keep bird baths and wildlife water stations topped up.

And remember… if you’re struggling in the heat, your plants probably are too. The gardener’s most important tool this week might just be a cold drink and some shade! ☀️😎🌿

It’s a universal understanding that humans chewing is the worst.
Animals chewing on the other hand I’m sure is a way of calming a nervous system right down 😂🐿️
PS A minute for the poppies to they have been gorgeous 💗

How to deal with online trolls:

1. Read comment.
2. Consider replying.
3. Remember they’re arguing with a stranger about petunias on a Tuesday afternoon.
4. Carry on with your life.

The flowers are blooming, the birds are singing, and Dave from Facebook is still furious about mulch.

Choose your battles wisely.

What it felt like leaving an office job full of misogyny, head office micromanagement, endless meetings and more meetings…

➡️ Trading spreadsheets for spades.
➡️ Trading office politics for pollinators.
➡️ Trading being managed to within an inch of your life for building something of your own.

Starting a gardening business wasn’t the easy option, but every day I get to see the results of my work, be outdoors, and build something I’m genuinely proud of.

Best career move I ever made. 🌱
