Job well underway in West Quantox.

Customer contacted us originally for a raised porcelian area to replace a rotton Decked area at the top of their garden and a lift and relay of some 450x450s that had started to fail and sink.

Footings dug and poured, brick with a block backed wall for the raised area and then slabbed in a stunning 600x900 patina porcelain tile the colours and patterns on these tiles are insane 👌
Ready for grouting next week which will be finished in an anthracite grey.

Started to lift the 450s to find why they have started sinking.. laid on 30mm of scalps straight on mud 🤦‍♂️
After liasing with the customer they decided to rip the entire lot out and asked us to lay them a sandstone patio in its place.
Entire area excavated for heights and re-scalped ready to be laid next week.
A whopping 106sqm to get down!

We will follow up next week with some completion photos.

Another patio revival completed in Minehead this week.

Customer originally laid this one but unfortunately ot has started to shift and sink.

We set about removing the slabs, removing the higher section to have the patio on one level this time and built the front area up to suit.

Tonnes and tonnes of materials up a flight of stairs was a serious leg work out on this one.

We relaid the slabs gave them a good clean off and finished them with a bassalt pointing.

What a difference!

Another job ticked off in watchet this week.

We were tasked with giving this customer some protection from the sun on the back of her property whilst still allowing some light through.
We came up with the solution of UV protection roofing sheets on a new timber framed pergola.

What a difference this will make for the customer when the sun makes another appearance!

Patio lift and relay completed in Wiliton.

Customer contacted us after his slabs started coming loose and sink in places.

We set about giving them a deep clean, lifting both areas and relaying them.

These slabs are the old school Indian stone, a whopping 50/60mm thick, no joke on the old back!

What a difference this lift and relay made. From a tired patio to a fresh Indian sandstone patio for the customers to enjoy!
Some times new slabs aren't a viable option for customers and it goes to show you can re-use what's existing!

A few snapshots of what weve been upto lately..

*Composite front door and a small section of Indian sandstone in porlock

*A new look for the front of a property in Watchet.
New pathway with recessed lid installed and the remainder of the area gravelled with flamingo gravel

*Small section of featheredge fencing also completed in watchet

*and last but not least an internal doors swap out, small section blocked up and new internal door fitted

New driveway completed in Minehead this week aswell as replacing the fencing across the bottom of the driveway for 6ft close board panels

Customer contacted us after their driveway had started to fail in places and starting to sink.
The original driveway was laid by the customers 20 years ago! It had lasted well for a DIY job.

All dug out for heights, grabbed away, re scalped, new aco drains installed across the whole drive, charchol border installed then Infilled with brindle pavers.

A much fresher look for these customers.

Been abit quieter on the socials lately but we've still been chipping away at work whilst also enjoying some time with our families over the 6week holidays.. think the other half's were ready to see the back of us 🤣

Job 1 was a full woven fence rip out and new panels and posts installed, then we returned the following week to install the gravel to make the garden easier to maintain

Job 2 was back over to canninton to install the tiles on the concrete pad we installed a few weeks back

Job 3 was a wall topper for a return customer after the stone worl started to crumble he decided to take it down and top it with sandstone slabbing instead

Amd finally we are currently working on a full driveway rip out and go again. I will upload this job once completed!

Couple of jobs completed in the last few days.

Firstly in Watchet, a new modernised look for this garden with a 'mercury' porcelain tile.
Two areas and a new pathway finished with an anthracite grey grout and black ice gravel to finish of the look.

Then over to Cannington to install two sections of fencing, a custom made slated gate and a rip out of a sunken floor and screeded back in ready for tiling at a later date.

Busy week!

Back over to Bishops Lydeard to put together the summerhouse we did the concrete pad and slabbing for last week.

Then onto williton for returning customers, a new small patio in their garden as they had 3 different heights of concrete through this section amd were getting concerned about tripping over it in time.

And finally we got back to the bathroom job to lay the flooring after Swann Plastering managed to squeeze us in and get the replaced wall skimmed!
