The government is saying that technical education needs to be sorted out and understood ! . Think you might find that successive labour and conservative governments decided that city and guilds was to hard so let's create NVQ s that are easy . No body can fail as that hurts their feelings ! Technical Colleges need bums on seats to get funding so it doesn't matter that the students are lazy idle and badly educated .
I am a bad tempered time served cabinet maker and joiner and I see no youth with any talent coming in to workplace .
