👷‍♂️ UK-Relevant Hand Crane Signals (Standard Practice)
Under UK safety guidance, hand signals used to direct crane operations should be:
✔ precise, simple and clear
✔ understood by both the signaller and operator
✔ used only by a competent, qualified signal person (e.g., CPCS A40 Slinger Signaller) — others can only give Emergency Stop if needed. �

Below are common standard crane hand signals typically taught in UK training courses (and likely what Watford Safety Services would train to):
🚫 General / Emergency
Stop / Emergency Stop
Arm extended, palm down, move arm horizontally back and forth — urgent stop of all movement. �

📤 Load Movement
Hoist (Raise Load)
Forearm vertical, index finger up, move hand in small horizontal circle. �
All Things Cranes
Lower (Lower Load)
Arm extended down, index finger down, move hand in small horizontal circle. �
All Things Cranes
Move Slowly
Give the normal motion signal with one hand while the other hand is motionless in front — signals to do movement slowly. �

🔄 Crane/Boom Movement
Swing Boom (Left/Right)
Arm extended pointing in the direction the boom should swing. �

🛑 Communication Principles (Important)
✔ Always agree and confirm the set of signals before lifting begins.
✔ Only one designated signaller gives signals to avoid confusion.
✔ If the operator does not understand, the crane must remain stationary until clarified. �

Dar poate ajuta pe cineva.

Am nevoie de un masticman bun care sa lucreze full time numai la noi, platit £/ora, nu in pret sau la metru liniar, pentru ca, prin natura lucrarii, nu exista acces continuu si nici km de tras mastic. Deci va rog sa nu mai sunati daca lucrati in pret sau daca veniti cu sotia, ca sa trageti mastic impreuna.

De asemenea, persoana interesata trebuie sa fie flexibila si, pe masura ce se inainteaza cu montajul de fatada, sa traga mastic acolo unde este nevoie. Cand nu este munca de tras mastic, omul trebuie sa fie disponibil sa lucreze cu echipa de montaj, fie ca fixer, fie ca fixermate.

Lucrarea dureaza 9 luni, se afla in Londra. Banii ii discutam la telefon, nu pun ratele aici ca sa nu dau din casa informatii competitorilor si celor care lucreaza in pret. Suntem companie, nu agentie, iar lucrarea o avem noi in pret, un lumpsum pe total lucrare, pe care trebuie sa o ducem la finish in functie de programme si contract.

Cine este interesat este rugat sa ma sune, iar daca nu raspund, sa imi trimita un SMS:
„sunt masticman, interesat, suna-ma intre orele … sa discutam detalii”.
