‘‘Twas the night before Christmas, the building was dark,
Not a switch left on, not even a spark.
The breakers were labeled (well… mostly okay),
Except “stuff in kitchen” written six different ways.

The electrician was tired, boots kicked off with a thud,
Hands blackened with copper, drywall dust, and some mud.
He’d finished one outlet, then somehow did ten,
Because “just one more thing” got him every time again.

When suddenly—POP!—from the panel nearby,
He groaned, “I just fixed you. Do NOT make me cry.”
He grabbed his old tester, his flashlight, his pliers,
Muttering things unfit for kids about wires.

He checked every neutral, each ground and each leg,
Found a DIY splice held together with—tape.
“Who wired this place?” he loudly proclaimed,
“Ah. Previous owner. Okay. That explains.”

He tightened, adjusted, replaced what was wrong,
Lectured the air for a good minute long.
“No extension cords through walls!” he declared,
As if the drywall itself actually cared.

At last all was quiet, the lights glowing bright,
No buzzing, no flicker, no smoke in sight.
He packed up his tools with a victorious grin,
Sat down… then remembered the ladder was still in.

He finally left, stretching muscles quite sore,
Tripped once on a wire he just fixed before.
And he called down the hall, exhausted but proud:
“Merry Christmas to all—
AND STOP OVERLOADING THE CROWD!”

Warm & Well is still available our libraries and you can come in to the branch and collect a blanket, hot water bottle, draft excluder, toiletries and period packs to help ease the cost of living for you.

We are also offering hot drinks between 10am to 3pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

🎄It’s that time again!!🎄
While we’re busy wrapping up the year, getting the last call outs seen to before we take a break over Christmas…

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers from this year, old and new, for the projects you’ve brought our way. We’re truly grateful for every one and look forward to what 2024 brings! Another huge thank you to send out to our wonderful team, you guys have worked so hard and we get such great feedback for you.
Not forgetting the trades we work alongside and suppliers, you’re all awesome 👏🏼

As a thank you to the local community, who continue to support us year after year, giving all the lovely recommendations, we wanted to give a little back. We filled a trolley and visited the amazing team at Watton Food Hub, making a donation on behalf of you all.
Humbling to see the support that’s there for anyone needing it, seeing how friendly and welcoming they are.
If you, or anyone you know is having difficulty, especially this time of year, please pop over and sign up for the food hub at Watton community centre. It’s there for our community and they have a lovely selection of food and essentials

As with other years, we won’t be sending Christmas cards and will be making our donation to East Anglian Children’s Hospice, a worthy charity we continue to support.

We’ll be closed from 5pm today til Wednesday 3rd January, but will keep an eye on emails if there are any urgent queries.

Applicant would be required to carry out commercial, industrial and domestic work, therefore being punctual, polite and good with people is an absolute must.

We are currently looking for a new member to join our team.
No qualifications necessary, so school leavers with no work experience welcome, but a good attitude and willingness to learn and help is essential.
Applicant would be required to carry out basic labourer duties initially, having the opportunity to gain experience in the trade and use the role to their advantage.
A full uk driving driving licence would be an advantage, but not essential for the right applicant.

As we start to wrap up yet another year, I’d like to take the opportunity to thank our loyal customers and colleagues for their ongoing support.

With restrictions and guidelines it’s been another uncertain year for so many, but with wonderful, patient customers we’ve managed to work right through and continue to provide our services uninterrupted, just masked up and smothered in hand gel! So thank you for trusting us with your safety.

I’d also like to thank our Electricians, the ever expanding Revamp family. What a year, they’ve worked so hard and we’re so thankful for all their extra efforts. It’s been particularly busy, but with no complaints they’ve powered through. We’re truly lucky to have such a great team and so proud of all the lovely feedback.

Following on from last year, we won’t be sending cards to customers and friends of the business, we will be making another donation to our chosen charity ‘East Anglian Children’s Hospices’. I’m sure you’ll agree it’s a worthy cause this time of year.

We’re so grateful to all our customers, for each job and every recommendation.
