If you are waiting for double-glazed units we want to update you all regarding the situation with glass supply.

Your order is in a production queue with our glassmakers who are working hard to fulfil all orders in the face of a national glass shortage. This has been caused by a number of factors: Covid 19 closed down glass production for several months in 2020 and continues to impact the manufacture of double-glazed units. In addition, two of the UK’s biggest glass manufacturers are shut down for cold maintenance programmes on their glass furnaces.

This maintenance takes up to six months before they can start to operate at full capacity, which has resulted in manufacturers rationing glass and supplying it on a strict allocation basis. Please be assured that your glass has been ordered and your double-glazed units will be made as soon as the glass is available.

Any lead time we provided when we quoted was accurate to the best of our belief but the current situation means that you may be waiting longer than we anticipated for your glass. We would like to thank you for your patience and will be in touch as soon as we can to arrange your fitting date.

For any questions regarding the status of your order please feel free to get in touch by Facebook Messenger, email or phone.
Many Thanks,
The WRG Team

We recently replaced a set of hinges on a customer’s french door that had dropped. You can see in the second image one of the hinges had snapped off altogether! We changed them out for a set of new flag hinges that hold the door firmly while allowing adjustment. Finally we filled in the holes from the old hinges. Job well done and a very happy customer 😁

We recently replaced a couple of unusually shaped units in a conservatory for a customer putting their house on the market. Both units were toughened glass, one much larger than we’re used to seeing. But we replaced with made-to-measure double glazed units leaving the customer very happy. We wish them all the best with selling the house!

Some snap shots of a job we recently completed in Rugby. We replaced all the double-glazed units containing Georgian bar with leaded units at the customers request. There were 31 in total - a full days work for the team and we, along with the customer, were very pleased with the result!

Over the last year we have seen a great increase in the number of enquiries we recieve. While we are overwhelmed with gratitude to be operating at such high capacity we also feel it's important to manage customer expectations.

We would like you to know that the diary is now booked approximately 3 weeks in advance, meaning there is an estimated lead time of 3 weeks for a quoting appointment.

Additionally, due to limited working capacities, both with ourselves and our suppliers under lockdown restrictions, the estimated lead time for fitting is 5-6 weeks from the date of order.

We will always do our best to provide outstanding and reliable customer service and we greatly appreciate all the customers who have been understand during this time.

For any questions please feel free to drop us a message or get in touch via the contact details on our page!

On these fresh, cold mornings you may begin to notice some condensation on your glass - like we do here!

Don't be alarmed! This is a common occurance and nothing to worry about! As long as the condensation is not inbetween the two panes of glass it's all fine!

If you have any questions about your glass don't hesitate to drop us a message!

Thanks, the WRG Team.
