Featuring a massed band consisting of Desford Colliery Band (Dowty), (Britannia Building Society) Foden's Band , and Brighouse and Rastrick Band , conducted by the legendary Howard Snell.

1987 was a remarkable year for the current UK National Champions, Desford Colliery. They were crowned Champions that year under the direction of James Watson, with Philip Sparke's ๐˜๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜บ ๐˜”๐˜ถ๐˜ด๐˜ช๐˜ค. Listen to their winning performance now!

This is the final release from the Elgar International Festival of Brass 2026, and what a year itโ€™s been! ๐ŸŽบ

We're closing the series with Foden's Band. Their programme opens with Philip Sparke's ๐˜›๐˜ข๐˜ญ๐˜ญ๐˜ช๐˜ด ๐˜๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ข๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜ด and also features music from Liz Lane, John Golland and Richard Blackford.

A fitting finale to an incredible festival, all performances available ๐—ก๐—ข๐—ช to listen to on Wobplay.
