Hi everyone these are some photos from this week and some lessons hopefully learned by tree owners after Storm Ciara.

• Take your tree surgeons advice. The large conifer that snapped out over three gardens caused a lot of damage. Almost a year ago I said to my customer that there was a high chance of the tree splitting due to the attachment of the two main stems at the base.

• Don’t cut large roots. This happens quite frequently and the tree looses its stability. It doesn’t often show the effects right away but takes high winds to topple the tree.

• Check your insurance policy. A few customers weren’t covered by tree failure and had no insurance to cover the removal and all the damage to their property and neighbours property.
