•Extend boiler spur supply
•Wire 2 heating zone valves via wireless thermostats
•Wire hot water zone through programmer and cylinder stat
•Wire return pump through programmer

Couple of issues on an eicr this morning.

•Broken twin socket exposing live conductive parts

•Incorrect Ip rating for consumer unit

•End to end cpc reading far too high, requires further investigation

So today’s EICR was “tested” 5 years ago. 24 observations made today, a few are minor things such as a plastic consumer unit or not SPD. 16 are c2’s and 1 is a c1. Not convinced all of these occurred in the last 5 years, especially when the tennant met me there and told me it was never tested in the 9 years he lived there. But did mention that someone turned up for 5 minutes and put the periodic testing sticker on.

Busbar didn’t align properly with the main switch and fuse carrier’s so swapped out for mcb’s and then both socket circuits and cooker circuit with a socket changed for rcbo. Consumer unit upgrade with every circuit having rcd protection along with a surge protection device was recommended and quoted for but that was not the chosen option.

Consumer unit was labelled after photos. Fair play to me.

More s**t on today’s EICR along with the main earthing conductor not connected. National grid contacted, didn’t turn up whilst i was there. Unsatisfactory report issued. Advice in writing stating that the electrical system is not safe and should be turned off.

This mornings EICR over in Northampton. Twin and earth clipped outside which seems to be very common. Expired smoke detectors with the cpc cut out on the circuit on both decices and a consumer unit that can’t be accessed because of coving but somehow passed the inspection 5 years ago.
