🚧 Fire Safety & Modernisation at UWE – Progress Update! 🔥🏗️

Great progress across the Brecon and Cotswold buildings at the University of the West of England, where our full façade upgrade is now well underway.

We’ve:
• Removed all non–fire-rated cladding, timber backgrounds and insulation
• Installed Obex Cortex breather membrane and EPDM to the concrete substrate
• Added 2,500+ linear metres of Tenmat fire barriers for enhanced compliance
• Integrated A1-rated retrofit ducting kits from Rytons
• Fitted 1,900m² of Rockwool Duo Slab insulation to boost energy performance
• Begun installing Rockpanel Woods (Oak effect) for a modern, fire-safe aesthetic
• Upgraded the exterior with new aluminium window and parapet systems

Mulberry Park is a mixed-use
development featuring a collection of 1, 2, 3 and 4
-bedroom contemporary homes. As the project nears
completion, we want to take a moment to thank
everyone who has played a part in bringing it to life.

Thanks to the dedication and hard work across the
board, this development delivers a fantastic look and
feel—creating a place the whole community can be
proud to call home.

The façade has been brought to life with over 2,000m²
of Rockpanel Metals Copper, used to create a bespoke
standing seam system that delivers a truly striking
finish.

A further 750m² of Rockpanel Colours has been
installed to the carports, adding a sleek, modern edge
to the homes.

Cedral Birkdale tiles have been incorporated to crown
many of the properties, adding a distinctive and elegant
touch that enhances the overall design.

Supporting these systems is over 8,000m² of SFS,
produced by DrySpec, forming the backbone of the
cladding build-up.

In addition, 100's of linear meters of Tenmat fire
barriers have been installed, ensuring the highest
standards in façade fire safety.
