With the design of Unit 1 Barns at Oake, the gable end has a large window designed in to it.

To be able to accommodate this large opening in our frame, we have designed and engineered the gable frame structure to be built out of glulam with steel plates to connect the structure together.

Built in sections, this will be connected together on site which shown here is fitting the structure together in the workshop.

A common misconception with our timber frames is that they are not adaptable, this is simply not true. Our frames can be designed and engineered to accommodate a variety of architectural designs.
