We’re excited to announce the arrival of our very first electric stand-on mower – the Arrow Commercial Electric Mower – now officially part of our fleet!
This high-performance, battery-powered machine will be used on sites with large grassed areas where cut and collect isn’t required. As a cut and drop mower, it efficiently returns clippings back to the ground, helping nourish the soil and reduce green waste.
One of the biggest advantages? It’s electric – so it runs much quieter. This makes it ideal for noise-sensitive sites like residential developments, schools, and healthcare facilities, where minimising disruption is a priority. Compared to traditional petrol mowers, the reduction in noise is a game-changer.
And there’s more: the zero-turn capability means the mower is incredibly agile, allowing for fast, precise manoeuvring around obstacles and tight spaces. This improves both efficiency and finish quality on larger open areas.
We’re proud to be expanding our electric fleet and continuing our commitment to more sustainable, low-impact grounds maintenance. We look forward to seeing this powerful new machine in action — and earning its keep!

We are thrilled to announce that MWGM has been awarded the Surrey and Sussex Police Grounds Maintenance contract!

Starting in March, our team will be responsible for maintaining 52 sites across both police forces, ensuring high standards of care and presentation. This marks another significant milestone in our continued growth within the public sector, reinforcing our commitment to delivering exceptional grounds maintenance services.

We look forward to working with Surrey and Sussex Police and contributing to the upkeep of their outside spaces.

At MWGM, we believe in empowering our colleagues with skills that make a real difference—both on and off the job. Last week, some of our team members took part in a comprehensive First Aid training course, sharpening their ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.

From practicing CPR to learning how to treat minor injuries and handle medical emergencies, the training covered a wide range of essential lifesaving techniques. It was fantastic to see the dedication and enthusiasm from everyone involved, highlighting our commitment to safety and preparedness in everything we do.

We’re proud of our colleagues for embracing this opportunity to grow and enhance their skills. A huge thank you to the instructor for delivering such an engaging and practical course!

We are proud to announce that as from the 1st February 2025, we will be providing grounds maintenance services for Norfolk and Suffolk Police!
We will be covering a total of 62 sites and have recruited 4 new team members to help with our services.

If you are local to Stevenage, look out for our supervisor Mitch Oakman, who throughout September is running 75 miles in an inflatable dinosaur costume! We are hoping that we will have cooler temperatures to help Mitch along the way.

Congratulations to our Contract Manager, James Lewis, who crossed the finishing line at the London Marathon at the weekend. James ran on behalf of our client, the Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability in West London. The RHN is a charity, independent from the NHS but working closely with it, to provide the best possible care for people living with neuro-disability.

In 2024 we are revving up our efforts in our quest to shrink our carbon footprint. We are continuing our investment into electric equipment and machinery, putting eco-friendliness at the forefront of our operations. We have also welcomed a couple of fresh additions to our fleet of electric work vehicles whilst our contract managers are now getting from A to B in hybrid vehicles. With each step, we’re laying down the groundwork for a brighter, greener future, leaf by leaf! 🍃 ⚡️

Our robotic mower made light work of these steep banks on one of our client’s sites this week. This piece of kit also does a great job of vegetation clearance.

Following a competitive tendering exercise, we are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the grounds maintenance contract for the London Ambulance Service which is a great addition to our "Blue Light" contracts. We started the contract in April, maintaining the grounds of 65 London Ambulance stations for the next 3 years.

We are delighted to announce that, following a recent re-tendering exercise, we have been awarded with both Lots 1 and 2 for Hightown Housing which covers all of their 470 sites, for the next 3 years. We have been maintaining the grounds for Lot 2 for the past 7 years and the quality of our service provision together with the management of the contract, had a significant impact on the decision to award us with all of their sites.

Huge congratulations to MWGM Director, Daniel Walker, for completing the TCS London Marathon yesterday. His team of supporters had a fabulous day out encouraging him along the route. Thank you to everyone who donated and sent messages of support. Daniel has raised over £3000 for Isabel Hospice!
