Shower enclosure replacement 🚨

Customer first contacted me as she was disappointed with the existing installation. The shower tray had been measured incorrectly but the contractors still fitted the tray and bodged the job. The waste pipe also had issues, it would back up and took a long time to drain.

We stripped out the existing tray, removed tiling and plasterboard. We found serious water damage behind the tiles, rotten wood and damaged plasterboard.

A stud frame was built to build out the wall to accommodate a standard size shower tray. We sheeted all walls in moisture resistant plasterboard. A frame was then built for the shower tray base, the tray was raised to accommodate the waste pipework having a steeper fall which would allow the water to drain more efficiently.

We then installed wet wall multipanel, 8mm toughened glass screen and a mixer shower.
