Rewire of a property is coming to a close this week. What started out as a conversation about a couple of additional sockets ended up with ripping the electrical installation out and starting again. The client ended up completely refurbishing the property when the electrics turned out not to be the only problem!

It doesn't really matter how many times I do this, the satisfaction of drilling a hole for downlights once the plastering is done and the cables are exactly where I thought they were is still there...

When you have a lovely new timber garden room, the electrical wiring doesn't want to be on show inside so it's worth the extra effort to route it all externally in conduit. The addition of a remote switching solution ensures that the light switch is wire free and right by the door where it should be too.

I'm told the photos don't do justice to the new festoon lighting across their courtyard dining area, but I think it looks pretty good anyway! Slightly longer span called for catenary wires to hold it all in place this time.

When there is a tiled bathroom floor above and the client wants to replace a central pendant with nine downlights a channel had to be cut in to the ceiling to feed the wiring through. The ceiling needed to be patched up anyway after the removal of a dividing wall and the result changed the space completely... Unevenly spaced joists made the spacing calculations particularly tricky on this one!

The pics don't really do it justice so I'll try and add some video, but this 10m run of RBGW LED tape completed West Bridgford Landscaping's transformation of this patio. The controller even strobes the lights to the beat of music it picks up on a built in microphone for that proper party feel 🕺🎤🎵

This Lady Bay home was delighted with their new kitchen after a flood in the bathroom meant the ceiling below had to come down. After the plasterers did a smashing job levelling across old, uneven joists, the ceiling was ready to 2nd fix the downlights for a lovely finish.
