Wooden Design is a local, dedicated specialist Timber Decking Installation company - established in March 2000 - we pride ourselves in providing professional installation of high quality Timber Decking across the North East. Since our launch in 2000, we have perfected our craft and have worked with many national homebuilders such as McInerney Homes, Bett Homes, Clarion Homes, Dunelm Homes, Linden

Homes, Miller Homes and David Wilson Homes. Some of our previous projects include:

- The iconic Iron Bridge at Cragside, where we worked with Balfour Beatty for the National Trust.

- The regeneration of Barnes Park, Sunderland, working with Brambledown Landscapes, manufacturing and installing three Victorian style Oak Bridges.

- Providing disabled access ramps and walkways for the Holiday Inn, Washington.

- Decking for South Tyneside Hospital’s Oncology ward.

- Crookhill Primary School Extension Deck.

- Providing a dining terrace extension for Ryton Comprehensive School. Our portfolio of Domestic Decks ranges from small 2.0m square to a 9.5m multi-level decking, if you can imagine it, we can build it. As a family business, we are proud to install our decks to our own personally written Decking Standards Charter and as we are the only Timber Decking specialists who solely focus on installing decks, this Charter has been devised over the years from our experience and knowledge, to inform our customers of the correct installation guidelines. We have been members of The Durham Trading Standards Registered Traders Scheme since its infancy in 2005 with an unblemished record – testimonials can be viewed at referenceline.com – where we are currently ranked at 9.8/10

We are also members of Constructionline, and are CHAS and SMAS accredited with all members of staff being CIS cardholders and CRB/DBS checked annually. As well as Installation Service, we believe that Aftercare is just as important; therefore, all decking has a 12-month guarantee, so even something as simple as a snapped screw will be dealt with quickly and effectively. As a North East based Company, we endeavour to operate within the region. However, we cover as far as Penrith to the west, Bradford to the south and Edinburgh in the north, allowing us to engage local suppliers. not had a post for a while, here is our latest transformation, Timber Deck customer from 2006 decided on a full Composite Deck revamp. Removed old structure complete and replaced on same footprint, with slightly wider step frontage, Neo Timber Fully Encapsulated boards in Silver Birch with an Antique colour board as spine boards and deck edge lining, finished with Glass Balustrade. ure

For our latest offering we have gone back to old Traditional Timber, this is one of our original Decks from 2009,age was starting to get to it, all old structure removed and replaced on the same footprint but all on one level with no rails.
Gives a great entertaining area with plenty of play space for grandchildren .
Total sun trap, when its out LOL, huge thanks to Clients for looking after us in the warm weather.

So here is our latest transformation in Co Durham, customer just moved into new property, needed a full garden make over,replaced dead fence, lift grass, lay gravel, install Trex deck in Clamshell with a Foggy Wharf picture frame ' Border', and create a 3m storage shed down side of property for any extra bits and pieces.
Weather was not in the slightest bit helpful but we got there in the end, kept fueled by lots of cups of tea and Gold chocolate biscuits.

Here is our latest offering , giving a relaxing area with disability access to the rest of the garden when it is complete, we used Trex Composite Calm Water for the border with Foggy Wharf for the main body, for a bit of contrast we used Rocky Harbour to clad the planter front, this also works as a retainer for the higher garden level.

Here is another Composite deck born today, all ready for the Spring, Client was super keen to match the colour of their new Porcelain patio flags, so after much deliberation over the product range available we settled on Neotimbers New advanced Deluxe range in Birch
