Then you need your "ID Card."
Every VELUX window made since 1968 has a specific Type Sign that tells you exactly what you have. No tape measure required! 📏❌
Where to look:
🪟Open your window (pivot it toward you).
👀Look at the top left corner of the sash.
🕵️Check behind the ventilation flap.
🧩 Cracking the Code:
Your data plate will show a string of characters. Here is what they mean:
1. Type: (e.g., GGL) – This tells us the opening style and material.
2. Size: (e.g., MK04) – This is the code for your dimensions.
3. Variant: (e.g., 7070) – Defines the pane type and exterior finish.
4. Production Code: Tells us exactly when your window was born!
