We’re delighted to welcome Ollie to ELR Building Surveying and Consultancy Ltd as our newest Surveyor.

Ollie brings more than 20 years of practical construction experience, having worked as both a bricklayer and bricklaying supervisor across a wide range of projects. He is currently studying for an MSc in Building Surveying and working towards becoming a Chartered Building Surveyor.

Having spent more than 10 years living and working in Australia, Ollie also brings a wealth of international construction experience to the team — and we’re keeping our fingers crossed that he’s brought some of the considerably better weather back with him! ☀️

We’re excited to support Ollie as he continues developing his surveying expertise and contributes to the continued growth and success of ELR.

“I have more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry, having worked as both a bricklayer and bricklaying supervisor across a wide range of projects. This has given me a strong practical understanding of construction methods, materials, site operations, and how to identify and resolve issues as they arise.

I am currently studying for an MSc in Building Surveying, with the goal of achieving MRICS chartership and continuing to develop my technical knowledge and expertise within the profession.

I’m excited to be joining ELR Building Surveying and Consultancy Ltd, where I can learn alongside an experienced team, apply my practical construction background and progress towards becoming a Chartered Building Surveyor.

Last month, we carried out an RICS Level 3 Structural Survey on this substantial six-bedroom period farmhouse near the Somerset coast. 🏡

Set within approximately 4.21 acres, the property also included a range of traditional outbuildings and land previously used as a caravan site. Having remained in the same ownership since 1972, it was a particularly interesting and complex survey instruction.
