GivEnergy Storage Upgrade 🔋⚡

Following a recent visit to convert this GivEnergy system into a multiple-inverter setup, I returned for a second visit to add another couple of batteries.

This has increased the system’s total storage capacity from 16.4kWh to an impressive 29.8kWh — giving the customer even greater flexibility to store excess generation and make the most of their energy.

Another successful GivEnergy upgrade, completed with the system fully configured and ready to go. 🔋⚡

Another Libbi install 🔋☀️

Another MyEnergi Libbi installed today, this time with 15kWh of battery storage 🔋⚡

The system is now ready for the next stage, with the solar PV installation being added over the next couple of weeks ☀️

🔋⚡ GivEnergy system upgrade – unlocking more power! ⚡🔋

Another GivEnergy system modified to get significantly more out of the existing equipment.

We’ve altered the system to incorporate a second hybrid inverter, allowing us to:

☀️ Split the existing two solar PV strings between the two hybrid inverters
🔋 Split the existing 8.2kWh battery storage between each inverter
⚡ Increase the combined battery charge/discharge capability from 2.5kW up to 6.1kW

This means the system can now move considerably more energy in and out of the batteries, making much better use of the available solar generation and battery storage.

A great example of how an existing GivEnergy installation can sometimes be reconfigured and upgraded rather than completely replaced. 🔧⚡

GivEnergy Battery Recovery 🔋

Another GivEnergy battery recovery this week.

This 5.2kW battery had been completely flat for nearly 6 months. We externally charged the battery, brought it back to a healthy state and updated all the relevant firmware.

It’s now back up and running perfectly. ✅🔋

GivEnergy Battery Recovery 🔋⚡

Another GivEnergy battery recovery completed today.

This system had been completely flat for an extended period, leaving the battery stack unable to operate normally. To safely recover the system, the batteries had to be split from the stack and charged individually before being carefully reassembled.

Once back together, the system was fully tested, with firmware updates carried out on both the inverter and the battery stack to make sure everything was running correctly.

A good example of why battery systems that have been sitting at very low state of charge for a long time should be assessed and recovered correctly rather than simply switched back on.

Today we’ve modified an existing GivEnergy battery storage system, converting it into a Plant System with the addition of an Energy Management System (EMS).

This upgrade increases the battery’s charge and discharge capability from 3kW to 6kW, allowing the customer to:
✅ Charge the batteries faster during off-peak electricity tariffs.
✅ Deliver more stored power to the property when demand is high.
✅ Make better use of renewable energy and maximise savings.

10kWh myenergi Libbi battery storage system installed earlier this week! 🔋⚡

We’re just waiting for the scaffolding to go up so we can fit the flush mounted solar panels, but in the meantime the customer is already benefiting by charging their new battery overnight on a low-cost electricity tariff.
