Beijer Ref Academy The Beijer Ref Academies showcase the very latest in sustainable refrigeration products. Understanding people is also a key part of our everyday life.

The Beijer Ref Academies are dedicated refrigeration training centres offering practical workshops that cover in-depth product training and industry recognised courses including refrigerant handling, brazing and electrical testing. These include a CO2 ‘pack’ connected to refrigerated cases and evaporators which replicate a typical retail environment. Plus CO2 & A2L packaged condensing unit systems

and a CO2 air to water heat pump, all fully operational. The Beijer Ref Academies are managed by experienced refrigeration engineers with a wealth of industry and product knowledge with a passion to share it. Courses have been constructed by engineers for engineers offering more ‘hands on’ training than ‘PowerPoint’

Working closely with the manufacturers of refrigeration equipment the Beijer Ref Academies offer Factory Approved training which should give you peace of mind knowing that only the best training is provided. The Beijer Ref Academies are both City and Guilds and BESA approved and can offer all the ‘standard’ training courses. The Beijer Ref Academies recognise the need for non-product specific training. With this in mind we have introduced the ‘Chameleon’ module which is designed to help you and your team understand themselves and their colleagues to develop a more respectful and productive working relationship. Bespoke training courses are a key element to the Beijer Ref Academies portfolio. You may need additional coaching in a certain area not normally covered by training centres, or you may feel your team needs refresher courses on certain topics. The Beijer Ref Academies are here to help and willing to tailor make a course to suit your needs.

Our National Training & Warranty Manager, Ian Lemmon F.Inst.R, has been judging the RACHP WorldSkills UK competition, where some exceptionally talented apprentices are showcasing their skills under pressure.

A huge well done to all competitors taking part, and best of luck for the remainder of the competition.

This year’s RACHP WorldSkills UK competition for apprentices will see 18 competitors battle it out at InstallerSHOW at the NEC in Birmingham.

Our very own Ian Lemmon F.Inst.R, National Training & Warranty Manager, will be the head judge over the three days.

They will be required to complete two tasks, each lasting two and a half hours. One will involve component replacement and electrical testing, and the other will focus on refrigeration pipework fabrication, including pressure testing. Best of luck to everyone taking part.

⭐We’re proud to announce that our Q-ton system has been awarded ‘Commercial Air to Water Product of the Year’ at the National ACR & Heat Pumps Awards 2026 in Manchester last night. ⭐

The highly efficient Q-ton is an air-to-water heat pump that uses CO2 as a refrigerant and can be used in a variety of applications for the supply of sanitary hot water.

This is a fantastic achievement for both MHI and Beijer Ref, highlighting the continued impact of innovative, energy-efficient solutions in the HVACR industry.
