Carrying on those autumnal tones... 🍂

And no, we're not wishing away the end of summer just yet.

But there is something about this transitional time of year that we always look forward to. The evenings start to draw in, the colours become a little richer, and homes naturally begin to feel that bit cosier.

We're already spotting those deeper seasonal tones coming through in our floristry. Rich burgundies, warm earthy hues and plenty of texture, balanced with softer blooms and fresh greenery to keep everything feeling light.

It's that sweet spot between summer and autumn that we love most. A little more warmth, a little more depth... and the promise of cosy nights ahead.

Just look at those autumnal colours starting to come through... 🍂

We know it's not quite autumn yet, but we're definitely entering that lovely transitional period between seasons. And honestly? After all this hot weather, we're ready for it.

The deeper oranges, textured blues and earthy tones are beginning to make an appearance, balanced with softer blooms and fresh greenery that keep everything feeling light and natural.

It's one of the things we love most about pieces that you can change. You don't have to switch everything overnight. Just a few moodier touches can completely change the feel of a space while still holding onto that freshness of late summer.

And we have to say, this in-between stage might just be our favourite.

Did you see what we did there...? 👀

Did you notice how we introduced colour into these spaces?

One thing we hear all the time is: "I love colour, but I'm worried I'll get tired of it." And honestly, it's a fair concern. Committing to wallpaper or a paint colour can feel like a big step, especially if you're used to a more neutral scheme.

Our suggestion? Start small.

Faux florals and greenery are one of the easiest ways to experiment with colour without making a permanent change. You can switch them in and out with the seasons, try different combinations, and see what colours you're naturally drawn to before reaching for the paintbrush.

A few stems in a deeper burgundy, a touch of blue, or some seasonal foliage can completely shift the feel of a room.

We don't show this project enough...

And every time we come back to it, we're reminded why we loved it in the first place.

This space strikes that balance we're always looking for. Cosy and inviting, yet light and airy. The soft blue accents bring a freshness that carries beautifully between seasons, feeling just as at home in late summer as they do heading into autumn.

It's one of those schemes that proves colour doesn't have to shout to make an impact. The blues add depth and character, while the layered textures keep everything feeling warm, comfortable and lived in.

A favourite from the archives, and one that continues to inspire us.

These dressing rooms are what dreams are made of. ✨

Beautifully organised, thoughtfully designed and tailored to the way our clients live, these spaces prove that storage can be every bit as considered as the rooms around it.

For us, a dressing room should feel calm, effortless and a pleasure to use every day. And honestly, that balance is what we're always trying to achieve.

Which detail are you adding to your own dream dressing room?

Don't these rainy days just put you in the mood for a cosy cinema day? 🍿

Whether it's settling in for a Sunday film marathon or disappearing into your favourite series for the evening, there's something about a dedicated home cinema that makes the experience feel that little bit more special.

So, the question is... which one would you choose?
- The Luxury North London Residence
- The Gorgeous Mayfair Townhouse
- The Beautiful London Townhouse

We're not sure we could pick a favourite ourselves. Although, on a day like today, we'd happily spend the afternoon in any one of them.

Ever wondered what happens before a design comes to life?

Long before the finishes are chosen and the furniture arrives, there's a process of refining, questioning and reworking every detail until the space feels exactly right.

Because great design isn't just about how a space looks. It's about how it works for the people living in it.

How many different materials can you spot in this kitchen?

Stone, timber, metal, leather... and somehow it all comes together to create one of the softest, calmest spaces in our Luxury London Townhouse.
Our personal favourite detail has to be the leather-hung pendant above the island. It's unexpected, beautifully crafted, and brings a warmth that balances the harder surfaces perfectly.

We often find it's this mix of materials that gives a room its depth. Too much of one thing can feel flat. Layer them thoughtfully, and the space starts to feel effortless.

What's the first detail your eye is drawn to?

A week in the life at Hill House Interiors... ✨

No two roles look quite the same, but one thing is certain: our team rarely sits still.

For our Design Associates, a week might mean sourcing furniture, refining schemes, reviewing samples and preparing for client presentations. For our Interior Architect Associates, it's often site visits, technical drawings, contractor meetings and problem-solving on the go.

Somewhere in between, you'll find photoshoots, supplier visits, showroom appointments, sample boxes piling up on desks and the occasional event squeezed in before heading home.

It's one of the things we love most about what we do. Every project is different, every day brings a new challenge, and there is always something new to learn.

The glamorous moments make it onto Instagram, of course. But behind every finished room is a team balancing creativity, technical detail and a lot of moving parts.

And honestly, we wouldn't have it any other way. 🤍
