Prestbury Flagging Project – From Steep Slope to Stunning Stonework

What started as a steep, unusable garden has been completely transformed into a functional and elegant outdoor space. Over 60 tons of soil and waste were excavated using a micro digger and track barrow, reshaping the landscape to form the perfect base for a bespoke gym and patio area.

We laid 100 square meters of freshly quarried Cheshire sandstone, each flag 450mm wide by random lengths, creating a natural yet refined pattern. Select areas required intricate cutting and angled detailing, carried out with precise masonry techniques to achieve clean lines and a seamless flow throughout the space.

The patio was designed with a gentle, calculated fall, ensuring efficient rainwater drainage into the ACO channels — a subtle touch that keeps both form and function in perfect balance.

The result is a beautiful transformation: a once-sloping garden now reborn as a solid, stylish, and enduring outdoor retreat, showcasing the character of natural stone and the skill behind every level and line.

Phase one of our latest driveway project is now complete.

✅ Access created by carefully removing a section of drystone wall
✅ Trees, hedgerow, roots, and stumps cleared using excavator
✅ Over 20 tons of earth relocated to achieve correct levels
✅ Geo-textile membrane installed for soil separation
✅ 16 tons of MOT Type 1 brought in and compacted for a solid sub-base
