Our recent bungalow demolition, right in the heart of Durham City. This one proved to be a little tricky with its restrictive location and the geography of the site. As a result of this, some of our usual suppliers were reluctant to participate!

Nevertheless, we tackled the job with our usual positive, can-do attitude, and as a result, we were able to transform the site to meet the expectations of the customer.

Once the relevant checks had taken place, we started with an internal soft strip of the property, followed by the removal of the roof. After the interior had been gutted and the waste manually removed from site, we were ready for the excavator.

TCC Plant arrived on site with a 15 tonne excavator. We proceeded to demolish the building methodically and skilfully, the driver taking into consideration the steep slopes and public footpath adjacent to the property. When the building was down and the foundations removed, the bricks were used as hardcore to reduce the slope and build up the land around the site.

The land was then graded and tracked-in, ready for the customer's forthcoming dream-home development.
