We have recently added another string to our bow at Crampton Heating & Gas. 🔥🔥🔥

We are now LPG qualified. 🤩

After recently attending a job in Unsworth we realised there are a lot of houses within our core working areas of Unsworth, Whitefield, Prestwich , Bury, Radcliffe and Stoneclough that aren’t connected to the gas grid and instead use LPG either from Bulk Storage tanks on the property or bottled gas.

So we decided to do the LPG changeover course to allow us to serve these installations on our very own doorstep.

We can now install , service and maintain your LPG appliances.

A job we completed this week in Ramsbottom

This customer was fed up off running out of hot water. A busy household with a lot of shower usage saw the hot water storage cylinder regularly unable to keep up with the demand.

We initially recommend a larger storage cylinder along with the new boiler however the customer decided to go with a combi boiler to ensure there was never any periods without hot water or waiting for cylinder to reheat.

It was quite a large system with radiators at the far end often struggling to heat. We added hydraulic separation with a low loss header and additional system pump to overcome the system resistance and now all radiators are lovely and hot 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.

We also carried out a full system power flush and added a primary system filter for on going system protection and a new wireless programmable thermostat for system control.

A job we completed this week in Bury 🔥🔥🔥

The old Albion Mains Flow thermal store was in poor condition and looked like failure was just around the corner. This coupled with the extremely unreliable Baxi/ Potterton heat only boiler another problem was certainly on the horizon. 😟 🥶 ❄️ 💦

We updated the Thermal store with a modern Gledhill Boilermate and fitted the ever reliable Worcester Bosch RI along with Worcester system Filter and Hive Smart Heating Controls. 🔥🔥🔥

With 8 years Warranty on the boiler and 10 years on the Thermal Store this system should now be good for years to come. 😄🔥👍🏼

A repair job we was called out to in Stoneclough this week. 🔧🔧🔧

A constantly running noisy central heating pump in the bedroom cupboard had driven this customer mad for long enough 🫨🫨

We replaced the old pump along with isolation valves and also replaced a faulty zone valve ✅

We upgraded and rewired the old heating & hot water programmer & thermostat for Hive Smart Heating Controls ✅

We also Serviced the boiler renewing combustion door gaskets and carried out the annual safety and service checks on the Unvented hot water cylinder to ensure everything was operating safely. ✅

Another job we completed this week in Whitefield 🔥🔥🔥

The old floor standing Baxi Boston had had its day and it was time for an update.

We converted the old conventional heating system with hot water cylinder to a combi boiler. Moving the new boiler upstairs into the old cylinder cupboard

We carried out a full system Powerflush due to the age of the heating system pipework and some of the radiators and managed to get a problem radiator that wasn’t heating so well beforehand up and running perfectly. 🔥🔥🔥.

We added system filter for ongoing boiler protection and wireless heating controls.

We even found the original 1974 install signed by a Stephen Birtwhistle who looks to be from the Bury area. If anyone knows him could you let him know he did a good job and it lasted 52 years. 😃👍🏼🔥
