🌹PLEASE SHARE: Dave, myself and all our family would like to thank everyone who came to visit our open garden at Holly House, Hensingham over the weekend.
We were absolutely overwhelmed by the number of lovely people who came to visit us. Over the weekend we had 245 visitors and raised an incredible £2,140 for the NGS charity!!!! Thankfully the heavy rain stayed away until 5pm on Sunday when we were tidying up!
🌼We cannot thank everyone enough for your generosity and kindness, this was the second time we have opened our garden for the National Garden Scheme which provides critical support to nursing and health such as: Marie Curie, Macmillan Cancer Support, Hospice UK, Parkinson’s UK, The Queen’s Nursing Institute, Carers Trust plus many more.
🌸We had so many lovely comments about our garden and it was fantastic to share it all with you for the weekend and meet so many lovely people. Thank you to the people who couldn’t make it and sent us donations.
🥰A massive thank you to our children who were amazing and worked so hard – Catherine & Jack, Charlotte & Chris and Becca & Jason (The Catering Team) who were working very hard in the kitchen. Jasmine for helping on the gate and her hand-made crafts and Billy for his video skills. (Chloe escaped to Sri Lanka so she got out of the washing up!)
A huge thank you to Denise Hyslop for organising and manning the raffle all weekend and for her amazing baking skills.
To Catherine, Denise, Linda and Lorna who took the time to bake the delicious cakes.
