Just seen this and it's so true. Setting up your own business is a risk, and keeping it going is even harder. Every share of a business page you do, might lead to a job for somebody like me. How long would it take you? A second, maybe 2?
We small business owners don't get holidays or paid time off, we can't ring in sick, don't get paid maternity/paternity leave and most of us like me work practically round the clock to keep our businesses "out there".
I'm far from rich but I work hard at my business and every single share, booking and customer on my list means everything to me.
Food for thought π€ π
β’ Kylie Jenner releases a lip gloss & people buy it.
β’ Cristiano Ronaldo puts out a new line of football boots & people buy them.
β’ Apple releases a new phone & people stand in line for it.
β’ Rihanna releases a perfume & it becomes viral on social media.
But when a friend or family member starts a new business....... people are wary of supporting it π
What happened to make us so quick to support someone we've never met, yet we come up with a million reasons to not actively support someone we know & love? Celebrities have enormous bank accounts, while the people you know working from home are most likely surviving month to month...
Please, next time you see a friend posting about their business: give them a quick like, comment, or share & help spread the word. **SUPPORTING THEM DOESN'T HAVE TO MEAN MAKING A PURCHASE** Simply help them gain more exposure for their business. As easy as it is to press "like," it really does help!
