Free as a bird.

Nice milestone for the business today - final Bounceback Loan repayment - and also our 14th anniversary of trading.
Anyone who knows me knows I despise debt or borrowing of any kind.
But six years ago when they were offering up to 50k overnight with tiny interest rates it was too good to ignore.

Finally having a float in the business allowed me to breathe, reinvest, reposition, and build a bulletproof costing spreadsheet to be sure I could always make the repayments and continue to progress while supporting my young family.
For context, the monthlies since 2021 have been slightly higher than my mortgage repayments.

Today the agreement ends and I'm chuffed to say we're still the same limited company, we never took a payment holiday nor extended the term, and didn't play any silly games.

Call me old fashioned but when you make an agreement with anyone in life you see it through to the bitter end with no excuses.

The same attitude goes for handling client money.
I always request a mobilisation payment for future works and the same fear-driven care and attention goes into protecting your investment before, during, and after your project too 🫱🏾‍🫲🏽

It's important that everybody upholds the basic standards of courtesy, respect and cleanliness before we even get to workmanship.
Reviews like this aren't just earned by Owen and myself - they extend to Lee who did the majority of the brutal bucket runs and Stevie on the trowel who taught me a thing or two along the way.
Thanks gents, another job done - and more importantly a client treated like royalty throughout the process ⭐️
