Moosejaw Woodworks constructs and finishes joinery for diverse projects in the commercial and private sphere and is situated in a 2700 sq ft workshop in the heart of Whistable, Kent. We have made bespoke joinery for shops, scenery for theatres, and exhibitions for art and commerce. We designed items for the home: we have completed Kitchens in various styles: 'Minimalist' and 'Shaker' being being t

wo popular and stylish versions. We can draw up proposals from any ideas or references a client may have. We regularly make wardrobes, bookshelves and window seats. Outdoor structures including treeseats, public benches and a henhouse. We are a preferred contractor for Cath Kidston, the homewear retailer. Cath Kidston shops are regularly furnished with our mobile display gondolas and cash and wrap desks among other items. Beardsmore, the Fulham Rd Ironmongers, and Boxshop, a removal company in Southwark. Mozzino coffee shop came to us with a very interesting brief for a cafe in Soho which we fitted out and here in Whitstable we accomplished the complete overhaul of Whitknits, a wool shop, and Tomic and Daly, homewear. Gallery Clients include the Turner Contemporary in Margate where we have evolved into being the main contractor for Gallery layout changerounds. Under the Turner aegis we have made structures for Mark Wallinger and Helen Marshall. We have also constructed movable walls for Leonardo Da Vinci! Exhibition stands have been made for Make International to show off the pottery of Keith Brymer Jones. We also designed and constructed the shell scheme for Spitalfields Mobile Art Exhibition space. Theatre work includes 'Mincemeat' for the Cardboard Citizens Theatre which won the Olivier Award for Design, props for Yusuf Islam's British tour and a huge 9 metre staircase for Birmingham Opera. No two jobs are alike, we have outfitted a Dutch barge in Gravesend Dock and built a 5 metre wickerman for a private party. A Chivas Regal drinks trolley complete with lights and refrigeration is currently doing the rounds in South Asia. We enjoy the challenge!
