We’re looking for an Alarm / CCTV Maintenance Engineer

We’re based in Widnes and we’re looking to bring someone into the team who enjoys the maintenance side of the job looking after customers, keeping systems running well, and doing tidy work.

This could suit someone who’s already working in the industry and maybe wants a slightly steadier role. Less big installs, more servicing, fault-finding and looking after regular customers. Mix of domestic and commercial.

About the role:

Servicing and maintaining intruder alarms, CCTV and access control

Covering mainly Cheshire, Merseyside and the North West

Company van, fuel card, tools and uniform supplied

Supportive team and good customers

About you:

Experienced with alarms and CCTV (access control experience is helpful, not essential)

Polite, reliable and takes pride in your work

Full UK driving licence

🚨 £160 Parking Fine for an 82-Year-Old Pensioner – Resolved Thanks to CCTV! 🚗

One of our customers — we’ll call him Steve — recently got hit with a £160 parking fine after his BMW X5 was allegedly spotted outside a London nightclub at 4:30am.

The problem? Steve is 82 years old and was tucked up in bed at the time!

The parking agency insisted it was his car and told him he had to prove otherwise. Fortunately, Steve had a Radium-installed CCTV system, which showed his vehicle hadn’t moved from his driveway all night.

👉 The result? Fine cancelled.
👉 The likely cause? Cloned number plates.
👉 The lesson? CCTV can do a lot more than catch burglars.

I would like to bring attention to a significant Facebook post from Cheshire Police addressing the concerning surge in car thefts observed over the past few weeks.

We are currently investigating an increased number of reported burglaries and thefts from motor vehicles in the Farnworth area of Widnes.

We would like to remind residents to ensure that all external doors and windows on your home are locked and check that your vehicles are secure, especially during the hours of darkness or if you are away from the property.

Also consider installing anti-lock snap barrels to all external doors and place car keys away from the front door or in a faraday bag / box if you have one available.
