🔧 Project Highlight: Vehicle Inspection Pit Installation

Having two separate arms of the business, it’s always rewarding when one can support the other. Last month, we moved into our new premises—a necessary evil driven by continued growth on both sides of the company. The best part? Starting with a blank canvas and building the workshop exactly the way we envisioned.

One of the standout features of the new space is our newly installed vehicle inspection pit. The pit measures 10m x 1.6m and was completed in just one week by our own civils and groundworks team. The installation included a hard dig through the existing floor to run ducting for both air and electrical services.

We also took the extra step of hand–trowel finishing the concrete surround to closely match the existing power-floated finish on the existing floor—not essential, but delivering top-quality workmanship is what we’re all about.

🌟 Project Continued: Twin Lakes Industrial Park 🌟

Continuing our work at Twin Lakes Industrial Park, with the concrete set, we shifted from concrete tools to tarmac rakes, swapping out the dusty road plainings for a clean, cost-effective solution for car parking. This choice not only improved functionality but also tied the whole project together beautifully.

Key Updates:

Manhole Covers and Gullies: Our team reset all manhole covers and gullies to ensure proper drainage and accessibility.

Pipe Installation: We installed a 110mm sewer pipe into one of the units to improve the infrastructure.

Seamless Transitions: Edging kerbs were set and the sub-base prepared to create a smooth transition from tarmac to concrete.

Durable Surface Course: A 10mm SMA surface course was specified to ensure longevity and resilience against wear and tear.

A huge shoutout to our dedicated team for their hard work in bringing this project to completion, and what a transformation it is. A satisfied client with equally satisfied tenants is always top of our agenda.

🌟 Project Highlight: Twin Lakes Industrial Estate Concrete Works 🌟

It’s been a busy few months at Qualitrax Group, and we’ve fallen a bit behind on social media.

Here’s a quick update on one of our recent projects: Twin Lakes Industrial Estate Concrete Works.
After thorough consultation with our client, we identified the most cost-effective solutions to meet the needs of the unit's tenants while enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the industrial estate.
Here are the key highlights of the project:

Concrete Pouring: Over 40m³ of concrete was expertly poured and finished by our skilled civils and groundworks team.
Quality Finishing: We applied a coarse brush finish for traction and beveled edges to prevent chipping, ensuring both safety and durability.
Accessibility Improvements: Our team replaced 60m of drop kerbs along the edge of the road, adding a polished touch to the project.
Yard Enhancement: To complete the project, we brought in 150 tonnes of planings to build up the existing yard, providing a solid foundation and improving functionality.

🌱 Transformation in Action! 🌱

We recently took on a unique challenge—transforming an overgrown, waste-filled plot into a pristine lawn and fully-equipped garden shed! 💪

Our skilled team really worked their magic, removing 100 tonnes of waste, re-grading the land, constructing a 2-meter tall feather-board fence with bespoke steel gates finished with matching feather-board to camouflage into the fence, all crafted by our expert welding and fabrication division over at Qualitrax Fleet Services Ltd. 🔥

We didn’t stop there—installed electricity and water supplies to the new shed, laid down a reinforced concrete slab backed with a timber sleeper retaining wall. We topped the whole site off with Grade 1 topsoil, expertly graded and turfed to create a fresh, beautiful lawn. 🌿

Hard work, skill, and dedication made it all possible! 💯

🚧 Bulk Earthworks Project 🚧

Back in May, we had the privilege of teaming up with our long-time partners, Duncan Ross Ltd, on a massive 10-acre site. Our skilled team took on soil stripping, a balanced cut and fill, and precision grading constructing 5 top-quality football pitches. 🏟️

Using a combination of A D6 dozer, 360 excavators, and tractors and dumpers, we smashed through the project, completing the first phase of the total works on time and on budget in under three weeks! 💪

Alongside the Levelling works, we also completed a large attenuation pond as part of the comprehensive land drainage works – all to ensure the pitches stay in perfect condition for years to come. 🌱

It’s all about teamwork, expertise, and delivering quality. Big thanks to everyone involved! 👏

Installed a ground-source underfloor heated structure for energy-efficient comfort.

Custom-built a portal-framed steel building, tailored to meet the exact needs of our client, with all the steel work expertly handled by our welding and fabrication team at Qualitrax Fleet Services Ltd.

Graded the site with laser-precision, to ensure proper water runoff and perfectly aligned concrete slabs.

Installed a heavy-duty channel drain that seamlessly connects to the existing surface water drainage system.

Finished off with reinforced flatwork concrete, featuring a sleek power-floated surface inside and a smooth brushed finish on the outside.
