We briefly considered hiring a team of Oompa Loompas for Security Operations today...

Unfortunately, they insisted on being paid in cocoa beans and refused to work anywhere that didn't have a chocolate river... so we've decided to stick with our SIA licensed officers instead...

Bit of security advice before you lock up and head home for the weekend…

With the current heat wave, it’s tempting to leave windows open for a bit of fresh air, but don’t forget to secure your premises before you go.

Take one last walk around your site.

Ask yourself...

🔒 Are all external doors locked?
🪟 Have all windows been closed and secured before leaving?
🚪 Are fire doors shut properly and not being held open?
💡 Have unnecessary lights and electrical equipment been switched off?
🔑 Are gates, chains and padlocks secured?

It only takes a couple of minutes, but it could prevent a weekend of unnecessary stress.

Many security incidents start with something simple... a window left open during warm weather, a fire exit used as a convenient way out, or a door that didn't quite latch properly.

A thorough end of day check is one of the easiest and most effective ways to protect your premises... even during a heat wave.

Have a great weekend... and leave knowing your site is as secure as you left it.
