Recently, we had the pleasure of manufacturing and installing these bespoke Utile framed, ledged and braced gates in Billinge. Built using high-quality tongue and groove boards, these gates not only enhance the property’s appearance but also provide long-lasting durability.

For added security and convenience, we fitted a Gatemate lock system, allowing the client to securely lock and access the gates from both sides.

Busy times on our Up Holland project 👷‍♂️

We’ve been making great progress on site, with the roof now complete—and it’s safe to say the new Spanish slate finish is looking outstanding. This milestone has allowed us to move our focus onto the next phase of the build.

We are currently progressing with the dormer construction, installing PVC cladding, soffits and fascia, erecting the internal stud walls, and installing the bespoke staircase manufactured in our in-house workshop once the ground level floor was screeded. Alongside this, first fix plumbing and electrical works are well underway to keep everything on schedule.

Our client has arranged for the window installation, and once these are in place, we’ll be moving forward with plastering internally, followed by the external stone cladding and rendering to really bring the project together.

Progress Update – Upholland Project 🏗

Since our last update, we’ve been making great progress on site, completing the blockwork up to wall plate height and installing the chipboard flooring on top of the posi-joists, getting the structure ready for the next stages of the build.

With the roof trusses now delivered, a crane was arranged to safely lift the structural beams into position, allowing the roof trusses to be installed and secured.

The next stage involved constructing and forming the three dormers, along with forming all roof valleys. This prepares the roof structure ready for the roofing team to begin felting and battening, bringing the build to a watertight stage.

As the Christmas holidays are fast approaching, we’d like to thank all of our customers for the work we’ve had and for keeping us busy throughout the year. We really appreciate the continued support and trust in us.

We’re looking forward to seeing what we at IDC Construction, alongside our clients, can achieve in the new year — with some exciting projects already booked into the calendar, 2026 is shaping up to be a good one.

We’d like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year 🎄✨

Up Holland Project Update 🏗️

Over the past few weeks, we’ve made excellent progress on this build. We’ve carefully removed the remaining internal walls and rebuilt them with a new damp-proof course to ensure long-term protection. To the rear, the remaining roof structure was removed, allowing us to take down the back corner of the property in preparation for rebuilding.

This section has now been reconstructed using 7.3N solid dense blocks, providing the strength required to support the new structural steelwork. With all steelwork successfully installed, we were then able to fit the posi-joists, forming the floor structure for the next level of the build.

Progress Update on our Upholland Project

Despite the challenging weather, we’re making excellent progress on rebuilding the external walls. We’ve completed the red engineering brickwork up to DPC level, and both the internal and external blockwork is now well underway.

Originally, the plan was to retain as many of the existing internal walls as possible. However, after a closer inspection, it became clear that they didn’t have a sufficient damp course. To ensure long-term performance and prevent any future issues with rising damp, we’ve carefully taken them down so they can be rebuilt with a proper damp course installed.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be continuing with the blockwork and removing the remaining sections of the rear roof as we prepare for the next phase of the build.

The weather has been on our side these past couple of weeks, allowing us to make great progress on site. We’ve stripped the slate roof, removed the old roof structure and external walls, and reconfigured sections of the internal layout.

Once the demolition was complete, we dug out and poured the new foundations, and have now started laying the trench blocks to bring the build out of the ground.

All this in just two weeks — we do enjoy a bit of demolition, but it’s safe to say we’re well on our way to rebuilding this home from the ground up. 💪🏗️

💥 How good does this kitchen look?! 💥

We’ve had the pleasure of installing this beautiful bespoke kitchen recently, and it’s definitely one of our favourites 🤩

All the cabinets were handmade in Scotland, and our client’s eye for style really shines through — everything looks amazing while still being super practical for family life.

We also added a custom bench and cabinet in the boot room next to the kitchen, giving the family somewhere handy to store coats and muddy boots.

One of our recent projects was a truly unique one — our client wanted a bespoke wishing well to sit over an existing stone well. After the stone walls were built up and topped with sandstone copings, we crafted and installed the wishing well itself, made entirely from Accoya timber for its incredible durability and strength.

This was definitely a one-off project, but here at IDC Construction, we love a challenge — and nothing beats bringing our clients’ ideas to life. 💪

🚧 New Project Alert – Upholland Transformation 🏗️

We’ve recently started an exciting new project in Upholland where we’ll be transforming this bungalow into a stunning five-bedroom home.

To achieve this, we’ll be removing the existing roof and external walls and rebuilding them once new foundations have been dug and installed — as the original ones aren’t sufficient to support the additional load.

A previously constructed rear extension will remain in place, though we’ll be redesigning the internal layout to tie seamlessly into the new structure.
