๐๏ธ The Imperial Field Transformation โ Full Funding Secured
Fantastic news for Ince as full funding has now been secured to transform the currently unused and overgrown sporting land at Imperial Fields (formerly used by Rose Bridge School) into a brand-new sporting hub for our community.
This major project is being delivered by Ince Rose Bridge Sports and Community Club, building on the proud tradition of Rose Bridge Rugby Club, and follows more than five years of dedication from volunteers, club members and partners to bring these plans to life.
The transformation has been made possible thanks to significant support from the Football Foundationโs Home Advantage Programme, backed by the Premier League, The FA and Government, alongside additional funding from the Governmentโs Pride of Place Impact Fund.
Cllr David Molyneux, welcomed the news as a major milestone for our community.
He said:
"This is amazing news that means a new exciting era for our community in the heart of Ince. I have been working closely with the club for a number of years to help bring this project forward, and a lot of hard work as a partnership has been ongoing to reach this stage. We are delighted to have secured the funding in full, and I would like to congratulate the club โ all the hard work has paid off."
The success of the football hub at William Foster Playing Fields has already demonstrated the difference modern, high-quality facilities can makeโproviding excellent sporting provision alongside valuable community spaces.
๐๏ธ Plans for Imperial Fields include:
โฝ Brand-new pitches
๐ป Fully accessible changing rooms
๐ฝ๏ธ Catering facilities
๐พ Modern toilet blocks
๐ฆ Storage and support facilities
The club already supports more than 700 players and participants across all ages, abilities and genders, and the new hub will allow those opportunities to grow even further.
Mark Alder, Chairman of Ince Rose Bridge Sports and Community Club, said:
"This is a major milestone for our club and a clear recognition of the potential this project has to transform our community. After a five-year journey, we are now entering the final stages with real momentum. Our ambition is to create a hub that drives multi-sport development and strengthens community engagement across the wider borough."
Transforming land that is currently unused into a modern, fully equipped sports hub represents a major investment in grassroots sport, health, wellbeing and opportunityโcreating lasting benefits for generations to come.
A fantastic achievement for Ince and a tribute to the hard work of volunteers, club leaders, funding partners and all who have helped secure this important investment. ๐โฝ
