Hard work today cutting back a pretty huge Forsythia x Intermedia. Unfortunately this shrub had been badly affected by Forsythia Gall which is a common disorder leading to unsightly galls on the shoots of the plant. The only treatment is to cut back these unsightly shoots. Recovery of the shrub should be good but involved a lot of extra work for Kath and I! Stage 2 recreating a completely overgrown alpine rockery tomorrow. Lets hope the snow keeps off!

It's a lovely spring day out there albeit a little cold! We are off to revamp our very first garden! Before and after photos to follow :-)
