We've just completed a FREE yard clean up for a local charity in Leigh.

HSP Helping Support People (homeless support project) provide twice-daily hot meals for the homeless and those suffering from mental health or food poverty.

After seeing our previous community work, they reached out for help with cleaning up their yard and we were more than happy to step in.

They're doing amazing work to support those in need and we wanted to give back.

Hi everyone, as you may know we have recently started offering FREE garden services to vulnerable people in our local community.

Because of the amount of requests/nominees we have received it's clear to us that this is a service that must continue. To everyone that has already been in contact with us and those that are planning to about our free services, we appreciate your patience while we work through the current waitlist. Our goal is to eventually dedicate a team 5 days a week to do this! We will be posting biweekly/monthly reports on the free services we have carried out so if you would like to keep up to date with what we have been doing then don't hesitate to like and follow our page!

This has been made possible thanks to the support of our wider community, including those who book our standard garden services. Every paying customer helps us expand our reach and keep this initiative running, so if you're in need of garden work, we’d love to help!

Hi everyone, we've been busy giving back to our local community by offering FREE garden services to those in need of a garden refresh. No strings attached, except for one... we just ask to take some before and after photos!

We helped a lady with removing unwanted bushes that were toxic to pets, removing various brambles, tidying up waste and litter, returning the grass to a maintainable standard and seeding any bold patches. In 4 - 6 weeks they will have a lovely replenished lawn for them and their pets to enjoy, just in time for spring/summer!

Absolutely no payment was accepted for this job as it is our way of giving back to our local community. The rest of the team at SGM and I will be continuing to help those in need when we can.

We will be returning to refill the green bin with remaining waste once it has been emptied. Personal details will be kept private due to vulnerability but here are the before and afters of the work:

Hi all! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Years. With snow and rain in the forecast, people often ask how to best protect their plants.

Here's some of our top tips:

1️⃣ Mulch it up: Add a layer of mulch to insulate soil and roots.
2️⃣ Wrap delicate plants: Use fleece or burlap for frost protection.
3️⃣ Move pots indoors: Keep tender plants safe from icy weather.

Pro tip: Don't forget to check on your plants after the heavy snow from these past few days!
