What a brutal day, probably the worst dig I've ever had. The ground was full of bricks, cobble stones, flags and bits of old concrete. I couldn't get through it with the spade, so I had to use the pickaxe to loosen it first. Still managed to get a good chunk done. Slab came out Monday, and reduced dig started today. Tomorrow I'm back on the concrete breaker.

I managed to get the rest of the conservatory taken down today, and got the skip fully loaded ready for an exchange tomorrow. The weather is not being kind at the minute but I'm managing to make good progress regardless.

Lovely day for it 🌧️🙄 I always recommend starting an extension in May because the weather is picking up by now. 🙈😂

Not had a bad day considering I was rained off for 2 hours 😁 roof is off and it's all tidied up. Just the joists left to take off tomorrow then I'm onto the windows and doors.

So I started a new job today, the skip will be arriving tomorrow morning so I can start the demolition, looking forward to getting stuck into this build

For the last few days I've been pricing this extension and with the material costs rising what feels like daily, it's next to impossible to work out an exact figure 😫 so I've just come up with a method to cover all bases 🤷🏻‍♂️🙈🤣

New doorway cut out from bedroom and existing doorway onto landing closed off. Floor repaired through the doorway and door casing and door installed. Almost have this ensuite prepped for the plumbers now 👍🏻
