EPiC MEN meets every Thursday at our 4 venues across Wigan, 7:00pm–9:00pm.

We are a su***de prevention peer-to-peer talking group with our unique 6-question structure. We are different from other men’s groups because our questions are designed to help men open up, talk honestly, listen, and move forward.

TAKE ON THE CHALLENGE IN MEMORY OF SOMEONE YOU LOVE 💛

We’re really looking forward to welcoming everyone to the 4th Annual Wigan & Leigh Walk for Hope on Saturday 19th September 2026.

This year, during Su***de Prevention Month, we’re taking on the challenge of walking Yr Wyddfa, also known as Snowdon.

The Wigan & Leigh Walk for Hope gives us all a special way to remember everyone who has lost their life to su***de, while standing beside the families and friends who loved them and continue to carry their memory.

Carry their name. Carry their story. Carry the love they left behind 💜

Together, we’ll take on the mountain as families, friends and one community, supporting each other with every step. We’ll also share a special moment of remembrance for every precious life being honoured.

Their life mattered. Their memory climbs with us.

🥾 WALK INFORMATION

📅 Saturday 19th September 2026
📍 Meet at The Royal Victoria Hotel, Llanberis, LL55 4TY (carpark)
🕗 Meeting time ~ 8:00am
⛰️ Walk begins ~ 8:30am promptly
🥾 Route ~ The Llanberis Path
⚠️ Official route grading ~ Hard
🕒 Please allow approximately seven hours, including breaks and our remembrance moment.

The Llanberis Path is the most gradual route to the summit, but it is still a challenging mountain walk. A suitable level of fitness, sturdy walking footwear and weather-appropriate clothing are essential.

🥪 Please bring a packed lunch.
💧 Bottled water and goodies will be provided.

Everyone taking part will receive one of our special Bags of Hope, filled with items based on our Bag’s theme this year, Your Emotional Wellbeing Tool Kit.

Tops for the walk will also be provided. If you’re able to make a small donation towards your top, it would be very much appreciated.

What a day! 🦁❤️

A huge THANK YOU to absolutely everyone who helped make our Charity Day such a success.

From everyone who helped organise and set up the day, to those who gave up their time to help out, donated raffle prizes, made donations, bought tickets, joined in with the activities or simply came down and supported us - we genuinely couldn’t have done it without you.

We’ve tried to tag as many of the amazing people and businesses who supported the day as possible, but there were so many involved, so if we’ve missed you, please know how grateful we are for your support! 🙌

Most importantly, together we managed to raise an incredible amount for Three Wishes In memory of Baby G 💙

Thank you to everyone who donated on the day and to every local business and individual who generously donated prizes for our raffle. Every contribution helped towards that total.

Full Circle for Joe at St Andrew's Primary School. There's something particularly rewarding about this one. The GHE team have recently completed a full electrical rewire at St Andrew's C.E. Primary School in Wigan, upgrading the school's electrical installation ready for the years ahead. But there's a great story behind the photo...
Joe, one of our electricians working on the project is only 21 and actually attended St Andrew's himself as a pupil. Years later, he's returned through the gates this time as a qualified electrician, helping to completely rewire his old primary school. For us, this is what investing in young, local people is all about. Giving people the opportunity to learn a trade, develop their skills and build a career and occasionally getting moments like this where things come full circle. A massive well done to Joe and the rest of the GHE team involved in delivering the project, particularly working to the tight timescales required to get everything completed ready for the new school term. Another local project we're proud to put the GHE name on 💙
