In the summer months and with the heat waves we've had, particularly the last few years, we ensure our turf is well irrigated so we keep providing the top quality turf you expect from us.

Remember when you're ordered new turf in the summer months ensure you are laying it straight away to avoid turf heating in the rolls and ensuring you're watering it well. If we have a short shower this might not be enough to get deep into the roots so additional watering will still be required.

Visit our turf care section on the website for more tips on laying turf.

Give your lawn the best possible start for consistent, long-lasting results.

When water and nutrients are not effectively retained in the root zone, lawns struggle to establish evenly and perform over time.

TerraCottem works where it matters most - at root level.

In practice, this means:
• Faster and more even lawn establishment
• Deeper, stronger root system
• Lower watering requirements
• Better resistance to drought and wear
• Quicker recovery after dry periods
• Reduced risk of issues after installation

The results are clear a denser, more uniform lawn that establish reliably, recover faster after stress, and maintains quality throughout the season.

Using grass seed is a great way to fill in bare patches in your lawn or to thicken areas, but successful establishment depends on more than simply scattering seed and waiting for it to grow.

The time of year, soil preparation, watering and even bird activity can all influence how well grass seed germinates. Issues such as patchy growth or poor germination can be linked back to a lack of seed-to-soil contact or unsuitable growing conditions.

In our latest blog, we cover some of the most common questions around grass seed, including when to sow it, how long it takes to germinate, how much seed you need and what to do if your grass seed isn't growing as expected.

Build stronger, more resilient lawns from the start.

Establishing a high-quality lawn is becoming more demanding.
Dry conditions, poor soil structure and intensive use often lead to uneven establishment, patchy growth and lawns that struggle to stay dense and healthy.

This is why more landscapers are turning to soil conditioners such as TerraCottem.

Applied once before seeding or laying a lawn, TerraCottem improves water and nutrient availability in the root zone, helping lawns establish faster, more evenly, and with greater reliability.

Here at Inturf we are an authorised distributor of TerraCottem and have a wealth of knowledge about this range of products. If this sounds of interest then get in touch to arrange a call and we can provide more information on the benefits of TerraCottem.

A throwback to one of our busiest days in the field.

Six years ago, lorries were lining up ready to collect fresh turf during one of our busiest periods.

A lot has changed since then, but what hasn’t changed is our commitment to producing quality turf and delivering the service our customers rely on.

Last year marked 40 years of Inturf, and moments like this are a reminder of the hard work, teamwork and dedication that have shaped the business over the decades.

Noticing more moss in your lawn this spring? A wet winter, shaded areas, compacted soil and poor drainage can all create the perfect conditions for moss to thrive.

While it’s tempting to simply rake it out or apply a treatment, removing moss is only part of the solution. If the underlying conditions don’t change, it’s likely to return.

In our latest blog, we look at what causes moss in lawns, how to tackle it now, and why early autumn is actually one of the best times to reduce the chances of it becoming a problem again next winter.
