We’re so proud to celebrate the transformation of La Chouquette.

The challenge wasn’t simply how the shop looked; it was how it worked.

We redesigned the space to create a clearer customer journey, better product visibility and a more efficient layout for the team behind the counter and in the kitchen.

The result is a space that feels elegant, welcoming, distinctly French and much easier to experience and operate.

One customer came in for a coffee… and left with a bag full of pastries.

That’s the power of thoughtful commercial design.

THE SPACE WHISPERER is pleased to be among the inspiring global design talent to have been shortlisted as a finalist in this year’s SBID International Design Awards for its entry, SAVARD NEW STORE, in the RETAIL DESIGN category.

“The project represents our belief that exceptional retail design must go beyond appearance, combining atmosphere, functionality, technical precision and brand storytelling. It was a privilege to create Savard’s first physical boutique and translate the rarity and craftsmanship of its watches into an intimate, memorable environment.”

Evaluated by a panel of distinguished, industry-leading experts for functionality, innovation, creativity and technical ex*****on, an SBID Award is considered one of the most coveted accolades for design excellence. Success in the GOLD-rated Awards programme demonstrates the highest level of design skill and professional mastery across the interior design profession.

The Space Whisperer designed and delivered Savard’s first physical boutique in Wilmslow, transforming the online luxury watch brand into an immersive retail destination. Inspired by the concept of a “jewellery cave”, the interior uses layered textures, integrated display niches and carefully controlled lighting to frame each rare timepiece. Behind the refined aesthetic, extensive security reinforcement and technical coordination ensured the historic building met stringent insurance, operational and regulatory requirements. The result is a discreet, elegant and highly functional showroom that strengthens brand credibility while offering collectors a personalised and memorable experience.
To complete the final stage of judging, the public are now invited to vote for their favourite finalist designs - accounting for 10% of the overall results.
