Last month we had the pleasure to do public speaking at the Grade II* listed Tolpuddle Old Chapel, Dorset, which was an event granted by Historic England in order to explore how Listed and Historic private property owners might gain advice and access to appropriate practitioners and materials to look after their buildings.

This gave us the pleasure of also meeting highly reputable business owners in historical building restoration, conservation officers, material suppliers and surveyors.

Many thanks to the old chapel trust to getting us involved.

Our next event we will be attending is the Heritage & Harmony Day which will be held at Kingston Maurward College, Dorset on Saturday 18th April 2026, starting at 09:30am, where our team will be doing practical demonstrations in what we do as a company around heritage building restoration.

I have put a link below to the site where you can book your place to attend the event, where it would be great to meet some new faces whether you are a listed property owner, specialise in the protection of heritage buildings, like us and conservation officer etc.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Sadly, as a family, last month we lost my father Malcolm to a battle with cancer. The man that taught me all I know in the heritage restoration world and guided me to the current position I am at today as a very proud business owner and craftsman.

Dad grafted day in day out for 50 years in this trade and built a reputation I would dream to achieve in my years to come. Losing dad has had a huge effect on the lives of everyone that knew him, not just mine. But these last few weeks of him being gone has lit a fire in me to surpass all expectations for this wonderful business he took immense pride in with me.

Please keep a look out in the near future for our upcoming plans to keep growing Shape Conservation to where it deserves to be.

All of our achievements will be won with you in my heart dad.

Thankyou for everything
