Recent project I was asked to undertake for a lovely local couple,Existing garage had been previously converted to a kitchen but to a sub standard so it was ceilings down to insulate & re board & skim,floor ripped up new damp proof membrane laid,new joists fixed in with PIR insulation between & covered with new 22mm board,existing window removed & mis matched brickwork taken down & rebuilt back in with a better matching brick adding insulation in the cavity & new smaller window installed,existing door removed & rebuilt in instud timber,insulated,covered in a breathable membrane & new upvc cladding & window fitted,new stud wall built inside to create utility room,existing brick built cupboards removed & steel lintels installed to open up into existing utility room creating one big open kitchen area,all walls either re plastered or patch plastered & new doors hung with new skirting & architrave fitted to match existing.
